and I believe we found it. The Orion is built in China by the Apollo company and in my view is one of the best bikes to come out of China. It`s two years old and we purchased it from a Spanish guy who bought it new. The bike has a 14 inch front wheel and a 12 inch rear as standard and it measures 29 inches from floor to seat. It has the adjustable mono shock suspension which can be tailored to suit the size of the rider. Size wise I would suggest an age range of 10 to 16. Power wise it`s very quick if you want it to be or you can just plod around on it if you would prefer. It`s quite clean in appearance as the photo`s show as it`s only been used occasionally. Please note that the tyres could do with replacing as the rear is quite worn and a couple of the nobbles have broken off as you`ll probably see in the photos, but they are still very useable. The front brake lever has also broken but I`ll replace that before the end of the sale. So to sum up, a very clean mechanically sound reliable bike that has been well looked after, and offered at a very realistic classified ad price of £400. It is a 49cc 2 stoke with an electric start, its top speed is 38mph, it will pull me at 14 stone. These bikes are a fantastic preparation for petrol trials bikes (or for MX) because children can start riding them from as young as two and a half. for a play around the fields, I used the bike no more than 10 times as I decided motox wasnt for me!! When I bought the bike the first things I had done was a new head gasket, radiator hose, ht lead, spark plug, air filter, grips and graphics (not proper KX, I done them myself) after every time of riding the bike was stripped down to engine and frame and cleaned with Pro Clean. in not too good mechanical condition,, i decided to strip it down and go through every bit of it to make it good. so its now had a full respray on the frame, new bearings all over the chassis including linkage/shock/swinging arm/wheels/headstock, all new engine/gearbox bearings and seals, kickstart stopper plate, new ignition rotor cover, rear brake pads, brake caliper pins/anti rattle plates, new chain and sprockets/new bolts, new chain guides and roller. new rear mudguard, forks stripped mirror polished then rebuilt using fresh oil and new seals. replaced 3 damaged spokes in rear wheel. new front brake lever. bike has had alot of money spent on it to get it up 2 a decent standard, it does how ever need some new hydrulic clutch slave cylinder seals as the pressure on the clutch lever has now gone. the new seals cost less than a tenner but i dont have time to sort out. since bike has been all sorted it has been ridden for approx 10 mins up and down the road outside my work premises before the clutch seal went so it will still need running in. the bike has a very small tare in the seat cover but its hardly noticeable. tyres have 75% tread, starts 1st kick when warmed up , 2 kicks from cold. trick bits as standard- paioli front forks. hgs exhaust system, brembo brakes front and rear.ohlins rear shock. excel blue rims, its a sham X

it when it was 12 months old, since then it has always been maintained regardless of cost. New engine oil, filter and gearbox oil after each ride. (only ever did 1 event per month). Camshaft shims checked every 3 months and adjusted if required. New piston rings fitted prior to last event (2008) has not been ridden in an Hare and Hounds event since dec `08. In fact has not been ridden at all since then, has been regularly started and run up to temperature and always kept clean and covered. Therefore it has had very little use and is in great condition. Electric starts works fine as does the kickstart (if you`re feeling energetic!!). Comes fitted with front and rear TALON wheels and new chain/sprockets. Fitted with an FMF Q2 silencer. Front and rear tyres are used but have plenty of life left in them as have the brake discs. Also fitted with a 2005 CRF250 `R` spec camshaft and the approved Honda `closed course competition` modifications to the airbox. The original wheels are included. The rear is fitted with a used Maxxis motorcross tyre (used for practice days). The spare front wheel has no tyre fitted. Also included is a rear trials tyre (used once since purchase). The bike is great condition for age, i bought it from my local KTM dealer where they changed the fork seals, fitted a new chain and sproket, some break pads and a new sump gaurd as it didnt have one and a new MOT. New GoldFren brake pads have been fitted front & rear, along with a rebuilt front caliper, (just done approx. 50 miles ago), also fairly new battery, chain & sprocket set. (Previous owner stated within the last 6 months). The engine has just been tuned, carbs cleaned, and runs excellent and smooth. The fork seals and oil were changed less than 50 miles ago. No issues, starts on the button, first time every time, idles great. I purchased this bike beginning of June, repaired any issues, (Needed brakes & fork seals) got an MOT, (with no issues) then severely sprained my ankle days later, I would keep it, but am due to return to the States mid- end Sept.) Would have loved to ride her more, but can`t risk the injury further. My loss...your gain. All it needs is a new rider!!! Also Alpha-Dot Security, DVD Service Manual, and original BMW Service and Technical Manual included.The not so good bits:- There is a small tear in the seat cover , but it is not a soggy seat! ( can be seen on photos, covered by cloth tape and easily repaired.) There are a few small scuffs here and there, only to be expected, on a 14 year old bike. There was the usual oxidation issues t X

arm bearings and head stock bearingsnew piston and rings and crank rebuild last year , the bbike has run approx 45min since rebuild.it was just to powerfull for my son, and is not getting used,the onlt thing is the rear shock could do with replacing (no damping)stdi have a olins shock that is rebuildable that has a brocken line(hydrolic) i will include this in the auctionthanx for looking good look X

had the plastic film covering the seat. It was bought at christmas and has only had two outing this year and has not been used since march. I recently had a new KTM clutch fitted aswell as a new air box and filter (all KTM parts bought from Jim Air Racing) as the old air box was starting to perish, although its a replica all KTM parts will fit this bike.
