I have decided to sell it so some one else can enjoy using it! It was at best a summer toy that only went out for short runs on red hot days!!!! I purchased the bike in 2004 and whilst it was in a nice, usable condition I did a full restoration on it. Every thing was powder coated, painted and polished. Lots of new parts where also fitted such as bars, mud guards, air scoops etc so it looks A1. All the screws where replaced with stainless steel cap heads, the tank was re painted, new decals, cables, seat recovered and just to give you some idea of all that was done, and the level of detail, I even had new stickers for the handle bar switches made! (so it was all done!!!) I have also fitted a MPH conversion on the speedo (it was in klm) that just fits into the cable so it can be removed should you wish. I have all the past MOT`s going back to Dec 2003-2004 so you can track the milage etc, it now has 39793 on the clock and like I said it has only done a few miles since its last MOT in May 2009. Every year it sails through its MOT and last year just to be sure I replaced some of the rear suspension bushes and greased the rest. I have the V5 for the bike and it is taxed until 31/10/10 whilst the MOT is until May 6th 2010. The bike has been well looked after and maintained to a high standard. the bike but i will do all i can to give you peace of mind when buying ( e.g provide you with a full business receipt from my dads business a hand written receipt from my home address and a copy of my i.d just incase you have any doubts) The bike was stolen from a very good friend of mine which he recovered a few days later. I purchased this bike as a bit of fun and to mess about the fields on but unfortunately although it is a lot of fun i am too big for the bike so i have purchased a kx 125 instead. I have had no problems with the bike apart from i flooded it traveling on a trailer on its side last year, but that took me 10 mins to sort out. One thing i can say is that it has no silencer on from when i purchased the bike last year. I have not the time to start looking for a silencer or welding a universal one on so it comes without one. I passed my test back in January and am now riding a 600 so thats the reason for sale. It would be a great first bike for someone who has just passed cbt or as a general commuter. KM (5000 miles). It has a 280 allen conversion kit on it and a FMF exhaust. It has been used for green laning and has the usual scuffs and scratches on it. It has new brake pads front and rear, new disc`s front and rear , new chain and sprockets. Its has high rise bars , grippy seat cover, Its has a new Maxxis rear tyre with less than 100 miles on it . We have had a top end overhaul with new piston rings , 2 new inlet valves , 4 valve stem seals . It has a new clutch H/D clutch springs new clutch basket and kickstart and kickstart gears. It is fully serviced and every thing works. It is sorn at present and the MOT runs out this month which we will put a new one on if the price is reached. This is a well looked after XR and sadly or not must go as i need the space. We have both bought new bigger bike now. It has spare pads, filters, levers, cables with it and the original exhaust silencer. All in all this bike is in excellent order and wants for nothing and is a excellent green laner.
