a trip to France, Switzerland and Italy and to keep for quite a few years. The trip was brilliant and the bike proved to be the best all round tourer I have ever ridden. My son, to whom I have given the RT, came with us and kept wanting me to swap bikes with him because he loves it too! Why am I selling it then? I have been left an inheritence and after some thought, decided to splash out and buy a new 30th Anniversary Adventure, so this one has to go and no, I will not be giving it to my son! It has ABS, Heated Grips, excellent tyres, full BMW service history and long tax and MOT and is in very good all round condition. The panniers stay on if it goes well over the reserve price. I thought was the best spec F800 GS my money could buy. You see a lot of Yellow/Black bikes around so I wanted something a bit more low key but with great equipment. I specced it with: -COMFORT PACK (HEATED GRIPS, MAIN STAND AND ABS) -ON BOARD COMPUTER -LED LIGHTS -FACTORY LOW SEAT I got the dealer to add Mid Size Hand Guards which have been great and add to the look of the bike really well, I think the only thing I didn`t have was the Alarm which the dealer said wasn`t needed. Since then I have run the bike in as required and have had it serviced by BVM at 700 miles; it has just had its annual service at Cotswold Motorrad this week, both are stamped in the book. I have religiously oiled the chain and it hasn`t spent a single night outside, having been garaged from new. There are NO marks or scratches anywhere on the bike and its never been dropped and still has the balance of the BMW 2 Year Warranty from new. Although I hardly ever ride it when I do I remember what I`ve been missing, for a big bike it handles incredibly well and you can really throw it around, it surprises a few people on smaller stuff.
