cover. The suspension/wheels/swing-arm are all in good condition. The Engine runs well and pulls like a train but it does not go into 3rd gear properly. The plastics are original but scruffy but have no rips or tears. The tyres are all good. The Clutch/brakes/steering are all good and work perfectly. The frame was powder coated by the previous owner a few years ago & the bike has not done much since. The nearside footpeg holder has been welded at some point, and thats about it. I am selling the bike as my plans for this year have changed and i will not have much time to ride it or sort it out. machine, hang on for your life! | This bike has been used, no garage queen here. It runs and shifts without any problems , suspension is good, brakes are tight, no wheel wobbles or flatspots. | New top end, bike has not been broken in yet. No rust, a small rips in seat, I changed the paddle tyre and put on a new Dunlop. The front tyre is almost new. The bike has an aftermarket exhaust, there are a few small dings in it. It could use a new set of grips,missing rear mud flap, and front number plate is cracked, the plastics are good but used. | Tons of compression, you need a strong leg to kick this over. | Overall this is a nice bike, Don`t let it pass you bye, they don`t come along very often. | I`ve described the bike to the best of my ability, if something slips by it was not intentional, I don`t check spokes or wheel bearings/swingarm bearings on the bikes I sell. I describe the obvious things I see, so understand that you are purchasing a 30+ year bike and some items may need attention above and beyond what I have noted. Also, I`m not responsible for any leaking fork seals... to your collection! If your looking at this auction, you realize how rare these bikes are becoming. This 1985 Honda CR500 is the ultimate VMX weapon for vintage MX! This bike has never been raced , it runs and shifts without any problems , suspension is soild, brakes are tight, no wheel wobbles or flatspot. This bike needs some attention: The tyres are dry rotted, the tank is a little sun faded, and the seat cover has some small tears. The compression is a little low, but there is enough to run. The bike has a rare FMF aftermarket pipe. Don`t let this rare bike pass you bye, they don`t come along very often. I`ve described the bike to the best of my ability, if something slips by it was not intentional, I don`t check spokes or wheel bearings/swingarm bearings on the bikes I sell. I describe the obvious things I see, so understand that you are purchasing a 30+ year bike and some items may need attention above and beyond what I have noted. The bike has an aftermarket exhaust, It could use a new set of grips, and plastics.
