Jim Allan Motorcycles first opened for business in 1975 with a shop in Bathgate. Initially trade was centered on the off-road market with Franchises for Suzuki, Husqvarna and KTM.
The business expanded with a shop in Falkirk opening in 1980 and began to concentrate on the road bike sector. The shop in Falkirk became the main focus for the business and now offers full workshop facilities, has a large parts department and supplies ARAI , NOLAN , LAZER , X-LITE , SHOE and other leading brands of helmets.
