myself occupied in the shed during the cold evenings | The engine ran very well although was a bit rumbly from the bottom end, so I stripped it out and replaced the main bearings and crank seals and balancer shaft bearings with new good quality Japanese items, and did a thorough check of everything else and found nothing amiss. The engine is on standard bore with the nicasil coating in brilliant order. So fitted new gaskets and reasembled. | The frame and swinging arm had been shot blasted and painted by a recent prevoius owner so this all cleaned up well, I stripped out the rear suspension linkage and regreased. | The standard front pipe I cut into three and removed the wadding to make it a true expansion chamber and rewelded, this was a good trick I learned as a teenager and makes a huge difference to performance without making the engine too peaky, sounds nice too with the `Big One` silencer. | I also fitted; | New battery, new Oring chain, rear LED light/number plate holder, flexible/unbreakable number plate, handle bar grips, bar pad, brush guards | The plastics are scuffed a little here and there and have faded to slightly different colours, it is a 25 year old bike, but I don`t think it`s been used off road as it has none of the tell tale signs. its a project that never really got off the ground for me. Hence the sale.The frame etc is in sound condition, as is the rest of the mechanical parts, engine etc and tyres and rims are near perfect. There is one bad point that I know about which is that it requires a new water pump, or needs the present one servicing/repairing. The engine bits are all boxed up ready to take away. When I did intend on rebuilding it I bought an old 125 engine and mechanical bits to donate to the "good" engine should they be required. This secondary engine is also included in the auction. Also thrown in with the bike is a Haynes manual that could come in useful. Another item I am able to throw in is a spare steel wheel (back one) if I can find it in the depths of the shed.Please feel free to arrange a viewing should you wish.Please note there is no frame or engine number present which is why I am unable to tell you the year.
