out when i contacted Kawasaki with frame and engine numbers to make sure it was a 1998. | The bike rides mint it has just been rebuilt a full clean and regrease all bearings checked and replaced where necessary. Also has a new twin air filter, all balls rear wheel bearings with dust seals. | Front forks have also been checked and oil changed. | Piston and rings checked and are fine bike starts first kick all the time with no problems and is very very easy once you know how to. | I have had and ridden other 500`s mainly cr`s and find the kx is a far better bike to ride although I admit the aluminium framed 500 bikes do look the dogs danglies. The bike outperforms me and is not for a novice but I have ridden on mx tracks aswell as enduros and handles well even in tight wooded sections. | I run the bike on auto transmission oil as its what i`ve always used on all 2 stroke bikes I have had and never had premature engine or gearbox failure. Its changed after every ride as is air filter cleaned and re`oiled. | Plastics are in good condition couple of scratches but all straight no stress marks on them. | The bike is a 14 year old bike but is in excellent mechanical condition. | More pictures can be emailed if requested. | Any questions please ask. | Viewing is fine but need notice due to work and family commitments. | Thanks for l X

KX 500 Supermoto/off roader Road legal `F` reg

I forgot to take pics, but included in the sale are the original off road wheels which are in excellent condition, with a used but fair set of Pirelli...>
MT21 tyres plus another chain for use with these wheels.(bigger sprocket = longer chain)I`ve owned this bike since 1997 and it has spent the last 11 years resting in my garage waiting for a rebuild! Shame on me! lolAround Dec last year I finally got round to it! The cylinder was repaired and re-plated by Motrac`s, new Prox piston, ring and small end, new main bearings, crank checked and given the all clear, forks & shock rebuilt including a new rear spring. New graphics, new seat cover, new side panels, rad shrouds and rear mud guard. All seals and most bearings in the gearbox were replaced, all linkages are greased and as good as new (I replaced all of them in `99 before it was laid up). Also new air filter. The front master cylinder has new seal and piston, front caliper has new rubbers.The frame was powder coated about a year before the bike was laid up so has a few wear marks around footrest area, but perfect elsewhere.It`s MOT`d till late Jan and taxed to Feb 2013. There`s a legal sized reg plate and a small 6 x 8 one. Both of which are new and unbreakable/flexible type. Also reflective as opposed to some of the (crap) one`s on Ebay.The wheels are from a Suzuki RGV 250 (don`t know what year) and use the stock brakes & spindle with a spacer block for the front caliper, so changing back to off road wheels is a 20 min X
