to a very high level, chain, sprockets and pads have just been replaced both tyres just replaced all bearings are good with the smallest amount of play in lower shock bearing as with almost all mx bikes. forks seals have just been done FMF gold series fatty pront pipe and HGS tail pipe exhaust system. this bike has just had new piston fitted not even worn in and new power valve cables. The motor starts easy and sounds solid and crisp no funny noises. The gear box select all gears with ease as it should. The clutch is smooth with no nasty judders etc. As you can see she looks very nice in new black plastics with 2012 monster graphics + seat cover. bike has just had new kill switch. she`s now gone back to an rvf400 which she prefers.i bought the bike as an enduro bike and fitted race shortened mw suspension,supermoto wheels(excel,talon)bar risers to drop the forks through more,a shortened link for the rear suspension,big disc and talon bracket,a sticker kit and pink grips!..don`t worry,i will throw in some renthal ones if pinks not your thing!i also trimmed the seat down too and anyone 5 foot 4 can now put both feet down flat.i kept all the enduro parts,forks,shock,wheels,link etc as well,so the bikes as well suited to a 6 foot 15 stoner as a lady.i also had the top end rebuilt by dave clarke racing with piston and valves etc,so she`s ready to go and runs like a dream.this bike is also 33 bhp legal if that`s a concern,although you`d need a dyno run to prove this.there`s a long mot on it and it hasn`t done much,probably 4 hours since the rebuild.it`s the electric start one as well.so,to sum up,this is the only way to get your girl looking cool on a real supermoto,or great for the shorter rider who would find a crf too tall,or easily put back to enduro spec.i also have a crf450 seat if you wanted to make the seatfoam standard again.if you sold the enduro parts you`d have 300 quid and a cool supermoto.if you sold the supermoto parts you`d have nearly a thousand quid and a cool enduro.and if you kept all the X | £1750.00  | |||||||

It has always been well maintained regardless of cost and has a number of quality after market add ons. The bike had been owned by a mature owner before me who works with my dad which is the reason why i bought it because i knew it had not been used and abused, it is in fantastic condition and had been maintained to a high standard. The only thing of note is a small alloy weld repair on the crank case at some point as pictured. The previous owner had set it up and used it for enduro/trail riding rather than motoX which is why it has a side stand and fly wheel weight added, but he injured himself, so ended up never used it. Since i have owned the bike i have only used it for enduro riding (www.endurokent.com) and for fun on my dads farm. Overall it is a fantastic bike with plenty of power and is not for the faint hearted. The bike has just had a fresh oil change, coolant change, Air filter etc and even comes with a full tank of fuel. All it needs now is a new rider. this off a friend who has owned it for the past 10 years and it was in regular off road use until a couple of years ago where it was then kept in his garage. I have put fresh fuel in and got it running and it stil runs well. It will need a service and the brakes are binding slightly so it will need looking at before use. The bike is in quite good condition for its age apart from the odd bit of wear and tear, front tyre is worn and wil need replacing. The rear light kit is missing along with the number plate. The v5 has not been found yet but if it does turn up then its a bonus. This is a genuine sale and a full receipt will be given to the new owner. spare time. Overall not a bad bike considering its a 16 year old motocrosser. Sold as a non runner due to an irregular spark. I havnt really looked into it to be honest. Has stacks of compression so top end is fine. Selects gears fine and clutch feels ok. From what i can see the bike will need clutch case gasket as it currently only has gasket sealant. The right hand crank case has been repaired in the past (welded) but looks messy. if i was keeping it i would find a replacment but thats just me. Also the swingarm bolt isnt the original one as its a smaller diameter so would need to get a propper one. Apart from that its just the plastics that really let it down cosmetically, previous owner tried to paint them...bad idea! | now if that hasnt put you off there are lots of postive points... | Both brakes work well. | Front showa forks are really clean with no sign of leaks. | Rear shock is fine. | Frame looks strong and crack free, been powder coated in the past. | Engine has lots of compression. | Has a SPES exhaust system which is in great condition. | Wheels are straight but are just standard which have been painted in the past. | good sprockets. | overall this is a great project which wont cost too much money to put right. that you get with an enduro bike. The bike has only been used at the weekends for green laning and starts, runs, and sounds brilliant. Its never let me down and is excellent for down the lanes. It was stripped down last winter with all the lighting system wiring loom replaced and every nut and bolt checked. The full day/night MOT expires on the 16/03/2013 and TAX on the 28/02/2013. It was serviced recently with new air filter, oil filter, iridium spark plug, oil and coolant. Also fitted a motion pro oil filter magnet. The bike is registered on a 55 plate. Replaced December 2011-the steering, upper rear shock, swingarm and swingarm linkage bearings and seals were replaced with All Balls bearing and seal kits. January 2012-the throttle, clutch and hot start cable were replaced. The front sprocket shaft collar, oil seal and o ring were replaced. A new XC lighting system wiring loom was fitted. Febuary 2012-a renthal front spocket and renthal o ring chain was fitted. An apico evolite red rear sprocket was fitted. March 2012-michelin ultra heavy duty inner tubes fitted front and rear. And a wavey front disc brake fitted. I have receipts for all of the above, Bad points No speedo, the speedo drive is there and the power supply for the speedo light. Never bothered me down the lanes. us the fenders (all origonal honda) were in primer,as these are all paintable and the tank was half-way rubbed down,we got a professional paintjob done on them so all it would need are the honda wings putting on the tank,which are easily available on ebay.the paint finish is incredible and by far surpasses what this bike looked like new.the rest of the bike is origonal,even down to the tyres are the ones which came stock on this bike 34 years ago,the rims are UNMARKED and the spokes look like new but they are the origonal wheels,never been messed with-even the DID sticker is still on the rims,i would say this bike has been used for 3 or 4 hours from new.The motor is all good,we havent stripped it to check but it starts and goes through the gears fine,the clutch plates were stuck together but we freed those up by taking the clutch apart.The only non geniune thing i can see on the bike is the motor mount nuts have been replaced with nylock items which im sure work better then the origonals but look crap,i would change these but i didnt want to mess with such an origonal bike.The pipe is origonal and unmarked,though the silencer has been re-packed i think.there`s a new air filter and weve put fresh oil in the motor.The rubber band is missing from the sidepanels,this holds the front in tight.The only other thing the bike was miss X | £2600.00 | |||||||

I spent ages looking for an XR with electric start and it really is a godsend when you`re knackered and fat :-) It`s got the usual scrapes and knocks that off roaders get but it`s no dog either.The clocks have got the usual crazing and there`s a dent in the tank. Approx 10 mins running time ago i fitted a new wossner forged Piston kit, Genuine Honda little end bearing and top end gasket set.Whilst the top end was apart the bottom end was checked for wear and was in great condition with no play in the crank bearings!I have taken a few pics to show the inside of the engineI will also follow the correct running in period before the bike goes to maximize the life of the piston kit. standard example that hasn`t been tampered with with unnecessary modifications As routine maintenance, I had a top end rebuild and valve clearance check and since then it`s only been used for about 3-4 hours - receipts available. I put a new Dunlop rear tire on about 2 hours ago, so it still looks new! The side number boards are trimmed to give it the 2010-12 look..which works great! If it`s not to your taste, new ones cost about £15 I think! This is the nicer twin pipe version, which rides so well. It really feels as light as a 2 stroke in the corners but the uni-cam four stroke grunt to go with it! | I`ve ridden most makes of mx bikes now and the CRF honestly does feel the nicest. They are also very strong and reliable. I got the piston done for piece of mind, not due to any issues. i had the chassis resprayed all new plastics, ally rads and a full engine rebuild all bearings seals and a new piston + gaskets, the bike runs fine but i have not run it in as i thought i would leave it to the new owner. The wheels are original honda but have been rebuilt and all the spokes have been nickle plated looks great.
