This is my 1988 honda cr i bought as a project not knowing about bikes it was a non-runner and in average condition, I have changed the piston for standard...>

size one not sure if the old one was .5 bigger i still have it. i have also put and new spark plug and gaskets on top end i have a new airfilter but the filter cage is missing. i still have a non-runner it has turned over twice with the exhaust off and full throttle then cuts out after around 3 seconds so i built it back up and cant get it running again, fairing in average condition the back can had been cut down and pop riveted on and has since fallen off.Think it needs someone with a bit of time and knowledge and you will an half decent bike to throw around a field. if no offers are made and followed up before listing ends i will end early unless price is near. i am looking for offers around £450 first come first served. collection only any questions please ask. 1995 Honda CR125

sure whats factory and whats not. | I think it has a non standard carb. | Plastics are not original but are not broken, only the side pieces are a little faded. | 1996 seat in good condition with no rips. | Bike starts very easy and runs great. However it does not ‘idle`. The guy I got it from says he has it that way so if you come off the bike will stall. | RUNS AND RIDES GREAT. Very fast. | Could do with a new rear tyre soon and unfortunately needs the rear shock overhauled. | The highest quote I got to re fresh the rear shock was £100 delivered back. | I have put new renthal twin walls on with the 999 bend and Kevlar grips. | I have a new spare air filter and plug also. | I have not had the chance to ride this on a track as I have not had the time, and it seems keeping it to just ride around my pals paddocks is a waste of bike. | £650 is a great price for a bike like this, I WONT be droppping the price. | Any questions please ask. | 07984 578564 | Cash on collection please. | Thanks | X

My aim was to use the best year engine (in my opinion) and make the bike look more modern. | Subsequently it has had new seat, rad scoops, sidepanels, mudguards, number board, graphics. The subframe is a 97 which I had powdercoated to blend in with the frame. step onto the property ladder so the toys must go! The CR has MOT up to 14th September 2012 and is taxed until 31st August 2012. Please be aware there are no lights fitted to this bike it has a daytime only MOT! Although the bike is a 2002 model the actual manufacture date stated on the ‘letter on newness` from Honda is 8th August 2001 hence the DVLA gave her an age related plate from 2001, a `Y` plate. Weighing only 87.5kg dry and developing 41bhp, it`s very manoeuvrable and powerful. Since owning the bike I have maintained it regularly, oil change after every other ride, new Wiseco piston, rings and little end bearing fitted 29th October 2011. The bike comes with a copy of a full Honda workshop manual. it has had a full top end rebuild which cost £250: re-sleeve and bore, new racing piston, new powervalve and new gasketsI bought a new rear wheel through the local bike shop from TALON, as you can see from the pictures its a good looking wheel that goes well with the bike, also had new rear tyre and heavy duty tube.
