I allways wanted one of these so in 2010 I found this one, it had stood in the guys garage for about 6months but was still on the buttonit started fine but there was a slight clicking noise from the top of the engine which to me sounded like a loose tappet or maybe a worn timeing chain tensioner sowe agreed a price and I trotted off to my local bike shop which I have used before and plonked in there capable hands explained what I thought was the problem and left it with them, on inspection it was decided that it was the decompresor cam and spring that was at fault so the new bits were ordered and fitted on starting the bike the clicking sound still persisted so a further inspection was carried out, we removed the head and barrel and found some light score marks on the piston so a rebore was recomended with a new piston, rings, gudgeon pin and cam chain, luvly so £270 in parts later when It came to reasemble the engine there was excesive play in thesmall end of the con rod for the new gudgeon pin, because of the costruction of the con rod it is not recomended to ream out the small end and fit a sleeve so I got onto honda who in there wisdom do not supply a con rod kit you have to buy a complete crank £600 now things were getting a bit over the top, after a lot of searching on line with forums ect I found a com X | £1000.00  | |||||||
