bike has been very well maintained and serviced regulary. The bike is two stroke race tuned. It has been stored in garages its hole life away from the corrosive properties of the out doors. The Bike was orriginally purchased as a road bike but have stripped it down to an off road spec. All the components are still wired in and have been kept protected will be an easy job to retransfere back to road, as you can see i ALMOST have entirely what is needed for this as desplayed in the above pictures. The bike performance is undescribeable runs beautifully starts first time every time, ticks over perfectly and acceleration and speed is out of this world it really is very impressive. because I have got a bigger bike. Starts on the first kick and runs really well. Had a Leo Vince Hand Made Exhaust system put on when i first bought the bike so it does go better. Has tax until August 2010 and MOT till October 13th. Have all the paper work for the bike including purchase receipts, MOT certificates and the V5. Unfortunately the bike has a few scratches down one side. Also, the speedo is out by roughly ten mph, just needs a new speedo cable I guess. Apart from that the bike looks brilliant and rides well. 5,262 miles. Last serviced at 5,200 miles in March 2009. As you can see, having only ridden 62 miles since March, I`m not using the bike hence reason for sale. Overall I would say the bike is in excellent condition with only a couple of minor marks - there is a small patch of paint bubbling on the LH side engine casing (you can just about make this out from the photo) and a scratch on the RH side engine casing and water pump housing (it`s difficult to see this on the photo) minor things that don`t jump out at you but must be pointed out. Tyres have approx 2.5-3mm tread on front and 2mm on rear. All 3 keys, owner`s manual, service book and V5 are present. V5 shows 1 previous owner It`s a great bike to ride, very stable with the upright position and wide handlebars. Torquey single cylinder 660cc engine. It saw me round Europe for 2500 miles and didn`t skip a beat. I`m selling as I want something that can carry 2 people plus luggage around so am going to get something bigger (Varadero or a DL1000 hopefully as they`re a similar setup to the F650).MOT until 23 July 2010, tax until end of August 2010. 2 keys for bike and top box.To summarize the youtube clips - The bike has some corrosion, especially on the side engine casings. Although this bike is 5 years old it has been maintained regardless. It has in the last week had over £500 spent on it at Mick Johnsons Motorbike shop including: 2 new tyres Top end of engine rebuild including new gaskets Top and bottom end of handlebars and forks have had new seals and bearings (where required) Swring arm bushes replaced. 9receipts available) In the last 3 months it has also had a new chain (bright green), and new sprocket As you will imagine there are a few scratches and dings, however, this doesn`t affect its performance. The only problem is that the electric start doesn`t work but it doesnt bother me as it kick starts everytime on the first or second kick, no more. is stated in most eBay ads, I`ve ridden it twice since taking it in part-ex on another bike from a friend it had had a top end service and valves replaced, compression is good and there are no nasty noises amazingly for a CRF it starts easily and has no popping or banging when riding. Since Owning it I have changed the oils twice once with filter when I first got it and after the last ride.The rides were full days practise at Essex and Riverside. Riverside being the last ride last October just before it closed.The last owner fitted new O ring chain, Talon sprockets and new Acrebis plastics with Rockwell Grafics kit shortly before I got it. The bike is fited with Fat bars and associated clamps New set of Dunlop MX51 tyres that have done the two practise days, the rear wheel has a Talon Hub. Learner bike, Much faster than any 4 stroke equivalent with Legendary Honda reliability. Ideal for Taller Rider (although fine for shorter person too!) Better than commuter/sports style 125 for taller rider, I am 6"5 and this fits me! I bought this back in May to use for a few weeks while I did my DAS course, I loved the bike so much I have kept it for almost a year! Bought from a motorcycle dealer who performed a full check/service prior to me buying. Only selling due to lack of use and too many toys. (having passed my test I have bigger bikes now and this doesnt get the use it should. Although have given it a run out every few weeks) It has always started within a couple of kicks. I have replaced Oil every couple of months, Replaced spark Plug around 3 months ago, always warmed before riding and generally loved and caressed throughout my ownership. There are NO mechanical faults that I am aware of, apart from a couple of cosmetic issues that are to be expected on a bike of this age. Specifically the right rear indicator stalk has snapped. (secured with tape and absolutley fine also very cheap repair if required) Also the rear plastics are a bit tatty/cracked as shown in photo, again cheap repair, but its never bothered me! year when I found a trail bike was more fitting with my use/age/ability (closing 50). It has been regularly started/quick spin in this time, and as in its whole life, when not used, sat chained in my garage dripping in WD40. I originally thought of just keeping it, but walking around it seems so pointless. Extras – Sump guard, hand guards, clutch saver, fork seal savers, rear bag Comes with – MOT in April, Tax to April. All the original briefcase/contents of manuals/pamphlets etc as in photo – even the original KTM pen! The second mudguard which it came originally with, indicators, spare sprockets (usable) and the swapped out piston – Vertex is original KTM. Oh and obviously the V5. In there as well is a printout of a complete workshop manual. The Bike – I enjoy the maintenance and “fidlling” as much as the riding. I am a mechanical technician by trade and maintenance is done with care and pride. I could waffle on for ages about regreasing kickstarts etc but in summary it has wanted/wanting for nothing. The engine is sweet and very powerful (too feisty for me now). The overall condition/use can be judged by the un-dented original exhaust. The bike has never been dropped.It is showing just over 1100 miles on the clock from new (which may increase very slightly due to commuting) and so is barely run in.This really is the ultimate learner legal 125:The bike produces 15 bhp from a watercooled 4 stroke engine and pulls well for a 125.For those of you interested in its top speed well in all honesty I haven`t had alot of opportunity to test it but have seen around 76mph show on the digital speedo.All in all I find the bike to be very comfortable to ride and more than capable of sustaining enough speed for my commute.It is also exceedingly frugal when it comes to fuel consumption returning what must be 80+ mpg.If you`re interested in this bike I strongly urge you to come and see it as the pictures simply do not do it justice! year with new piston etc so it is tight and fast, good power and good suspension, tyres are in good condition with plenty of tread, it has a Werks seat cover and foldable (anti break) levers, overall this bike has not been abused and is ready to go, it does have a small dent in the exhaust nothing that effects the performance and could be blown out easily. The bike is a used bike and has the usual scratches and scrapes for a bike of this year/type viewing is advisable before bidding. Included with the bike is a two bike trailer, it is a solid trailer and tows one or two bikes perfectly and straight, it has indespension suspension and tows well, the hitch lever is needing a spring but this is an easy fix and can still be used without it (never got round to fitting one), it has lights on it as well. it starts with just 1 or 2 kicks hot or cold. I have added Excel wheels with Talon hubs. Front 17" x 3.5 and Rear 17" x 4.25, the tires fitted are Maxxis Road Legal cut slicks. A Motomaster front caliper and a Braking oversize front disc, (this certainly makes you stop) There is a new DID X-Ring chain just fitted and the sprockets currently on for supermoto are 16 front, 42 rear. I also have a 13 front and 52 rear for off road use. The off road wheels & Tyres are included in the sale. The bike has a Doma exhaust system and the suspension has been upgraded with Bud Racing suspension, which also included fork intenals and lighter oil. I have fitted new plastics and graphics but I also have the old set of plastics for off orad use which you can see in pictures and are near new condition, I also have some spare plastics, some of which are brand new and some used. I fitted a Trailtech Supermoto Side Stand for convenience when on the road. The bike was only just MOT`d last month and has 11 months remaining along with 11 months tax. the brakes and gears etc when I first got it, it rode very well and everything worked as it should. It has sat at the back of my garage since then which is a shame as I believe that bikes are built to be ridden, not used as garage ornaments. As you can see from the photos, the bike is in very good condition and has been restored at some point, it has lots of compression and a mechanically quiet motor, I would think that the engine was rebuilt at the time of restoration. I`m afraid I dont know much about the history of this bike but it seems to be a very sound example of this rare model. reading was 12508kms. The current reading is as above, 16360kms. I have all the old MOTs to show mileage. The bike has been used for light green laneing and occasionally riding to work. It was Bridgestone Trail wing tyres fitted front and rear.The bike no longer has height control suspension as the rear shock leaked and I couldn`t get it repaired or replaced. The rear shock was replaced with a standard Hagon shock which rides really well.The bike is kick start only and can be a bit tricky when starting from cold, no problems when warm. It`s just had the rear wheel bearings replaced, new rear brake pads and oil and filter. I also have the Clymer repair manual, wing mirror and rear rack that will be included in the sale.On completion of the auction I expect the winning bidder to be in contact within a day and pick-up of the bike to be within a week. I have only ridden it to work once or twice!MOT till 19th of AprilTAX till end of march.When i bought the bike, there were new clocks fitted and shower 28KM. I was told by previous owner that the old speedo had been cracked and no longer worked. It was shown to me in running order. when i got it home after running for about 10minutes started getting hot, there was no water in the radiator, i put some in, after running it disappeared. i have spoken to local shop who suspect it has a head gasket problem. i am a honest ebayer, not like the one i purchased it from. so this bike starts and runs, loses water. so have had to buy another bike because he was very upset and so was I. because its knakered. When i got it from the last guy i failed to notice he had welded the gear shift back on to the spline stupidly. as you would expect after a few outings the weld gave way and now its sat with a lump of weld on the end of the spline. Iv started to take the clutch out and a few other bits to get to spline( that is all that needs replacing) unfortunatly new commitments have forced a sale. This is not a toy, just a week ago i nailed 2 cr`s on it the oil and water was replaced after every ride before i had it and iv done the same. It has brand new talon chain and sprocket set, Brand new tyres( maxis fatty on the back, kyber carbon forks and the rear shocker has been reconditioned. Polished swing arm, renthal bars, ohlins breaks, new breather and loads more All this bike needs is a new or second hand gear spline, i have looked on here and they go for arround 60quid. There is nothing wrong with this bike at all apart from the spline, it needs someone with a spare day and obviously a spline and your ready to go. Very very tidy example, also there is a haynes manuel with the bike, ceet gripper seat Small melt mark in one of the plastics also due to previous owner but i have sorted this. The bike comes with offroad wheels/tyres (they are the original tyres still with pips on outer edges) and 17 inch supermoto wheels/tyres. These are both original fitment CCM items, they come complete with their own sprockets and discs fitted, they use the same set of wheel spacers and the same chain. These are not an afterthought or bodged set of wheels from another bike where you have to swap discs, sprockets etc and have lots of fiddly spacers. They are the proper kit, which take approx an hour to swap over from trail to supermoto and vice versa. The engine is fitted with a K&N filter, dynajet carb kit, Kent fast road cam and road legal Quill T3 end can. I have had two previous CCM`s and neither pulled as well or as cleanly as this one does-the difference is fantastic. I`ve recently fitted Symtec heated grips (lovely warm hands), new X-Ring chain and a new Hyabusa battery which gives better starting than the underpowered original CCM battery. Included in sale is the original exhaust can and a carbon rear hugger for use with supermoto wheels (never bothered with it myself). remainder of the manufactures 2year warranty. It had it`s 1st service at the main dealer at 152miles / 5hours use and as only been out once since then hence the reason for selling. The bike is in good condition it as a brand new rear tyre and sprocket, the only modification is the acerbis lever guards. The only damage on the bike is to the tail section this as had a repair to the under tray and as a small hole in the tail plastic (see photo 5) this is only a minor defect, the bike is currently sorn as off the road so there is no tax. all hand books /cd /tool kit are present. intention of racing. Unfortunatly I cannot take credit for all of the work involved in getting the bike up to the standard it is. However I did rebuild the bike and make some improvments which I will cover. The frame was shot blasted and powder coated as close as I could get to kawasaki lime green. The rear subframe was replaced with a new genuine item and the swing arm and linkage bearings replaced along with new head race bearings. The rear shock is a competition Ohlins item which was sent away for referbeshment and Ialso had the spring powder coated at the same time as the frame. The front forks Iam told are marzocchi and were re-oiled and painted, I know they should be usd forks but to fit a 4.25" front wheel conventional forks need to be used. Iwas going to get a set of usd forks but the guy who worked the engine said the ones on the bike are much more expensive. The front rim was damaged so I had a replacment rim laced on to the hub. I could not get an exact match to the rear which is a morad type rim so I opted for a Rexfelgen (never heard of them) Italian I believe and not rubbish. The hubs are Talon. New continental sm tyres 40t rear sprocket and 320mm front disk. The tank and body work was given to a paint shop who treated the plastics prior to spraying. Ive checked the Chassis number (plate present) and it was manufactured in 1980, though not registered until March 1981. So it is one of the very first BMW made. The paintwork has been done recently and is of an excellent standard. | The bike has MOT till 18th May 2010 and a bit of tax, see above. I see no reason why it should fail a new MOT. | Good points: | Optional extra BMW original flyscreen fitted | Tyres show very little real wear or rubber deterioration. | The wheel rims are good for its age and both wheels are true, no wobbling in the rear, as often is the case. | The head stock bearings show no signs of stiffness or sloppiness. | The engine starts very well and runs sweetly and is oil tight. | The gearbox functions as it should, no nasty noises are present. | The shaft and bevel drive (diff) shows no signs of problems impending. | Brakes function as they should. Hmm! | Front fork stanchions, show no signs of rust, even where visible, and must have been changed in recent times. , it has done very little work as you can see from the pictures, only on road no racing or competition use ,milage and hours are genuine as indicated in the photos it is standard apart from a few stickers which come off easily and a Arrow performance silencer, it has all original plastics and graphics even tyres! ,lambda has been removed by dealer this is standard practice ,it has had an oil change already and i have oil and filter for another, also included is the original tail pipe,lambda and a smaller front sprocket as i fitted a slightly bigger one so the bike does`nt rev as much on the road ,I also have indicators etc. in a box if wanted , this has been a toy that has not really been used and another toy is arriving soon so this one needs to go.The bike really is as good as the pictures show and has covered less than 400 miles.
