the fun out of it, im selling it because I have lost interest and do not have the time anymore. I will be honest with the add and say the they bike is in good condition got many trick bits on it that comes with the special edition, such as full akrapovic exhaust system, with carbon tip, carbon tank cover, sxs step seat, orange frame, front disc guard. Along with all the other Ktm goodies, the tyres are worn, but still usualble. The bike has had regular oil changes and, the air filter has always been done, its fast and pulls well in every gear, and jumps lovley, its just had new fork seals. Im looking for a quick sale but do not want to give it away, I need the money for my new passion of off roading. I have all the bag and tools. and all in all the bike is very reliable and has never let me down the bike has been maintained well oil n filter regularly and serviced by local ktm dealer.The slight bad points are the plastics have general wear n tear there`s a bit of a crack in front mudgaurd none are expensive fixes just i didn`t worry to much about it. The front header pipe has had a repair where it connects to engine manifold but has not effected performance.Thats it really! brought & registared on the 23/3/2010 & has been maintained without fault,oil & filter change every 5 hours, air filter cleaned after every ride, i have had a couple of 250 exc-f`s over the last couple of years & i can honestly say that this Xcf is far more responsive & enjoyable to ride, it has the same spec as the exc, frame,electric start, engine,6 speed gear ratio etc, only difference is it has the cams & CDI unit as the SXF which improves the power delivery & response. Also has Cooling Fan, which comes in handy if you get stuck in the mud alot like me. Never mind, Ill get another one later.As you can see she is very good condition for her age, everything works just as it should and she has 10 months MOT left on her. I have just been right over her from front to back correcting any problems and preparing her for me to ride this season however as I said, she has to go instead, never mind. Motor... She had become a reluctant starter so I pulled the head and barrel off to investigate, I found the piston ring was sticking in the piston ring slot, I measured and inspected the piston and found it to be in great shape as was the bore. I honed the bore ready for new rings, I cleaned the ring slot out and I have installed a fresh set of piston rings and new gaskets. Now she is on the button and rides really well. She will however require a little running in. A couple of hours easy riding should do it. While I was at it noticed there was an oil leak from the drive shaft so I replaced the seal, O ring, insert and sprocket bolt/spring. I installed new oil filters and filled her with Putolene fully synthetic oil. So thats all new now. I also installed a new water pump impeller whilst I had her apart.
