in Newcastle and the previous owner traded it in after 700 miles as he was using it to travel long distances and found it unsuitable. I was able to cantact him and verify it had been run in properly and taken care of in his ownership.I`ve put the remaining miles on the bike to a total of 3470 miles which is low for a bike of this age. If you`re looking for a motorcycle thats fun, you can`t go past a Duke 2. The handling and power delivery will put a huge grin on your face! I`ve had sportsbikes and trailies in the past and got the Duke as a mix between both. It will out perform sportsbikes through the bends, and the high class suspension is perfect for our ubpredictable British road surfaces. The wide bars and high riding position means it is excellent in traffic and very confidence inspiring without any scary moments. It also comes with extras including: Datatool 3 Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser Official KTM performance exhaust modification, which comprises of the Y piece exhaust link pipe, larger carb jet and airbox mod, increasing power and giving a lovely meaty exhaust note without being too loud. Official KTM handguards. I have all of the original parts including the mirrors and rear footpegs I took off for aesthetic reasons so it could be put back to factory standard in an afternoon. ENGINE No minor development: Based on the state-of-the-art, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine of the 125 Duke, the 200 Duke`s power unit has been changed substantially to generate 60 % more displacement and correspondingly fully developed power. New camshafts, bigger valves, a larger piston with a completely new crank drive, new airbox and new exhaust layout. It all results in 19 kW (25 hp) and incredibly punchy torque, even at lower revs – with irresistible smoothness. CYLINDER HEAD Just like the RC8 R, two overhead camshafts in the new 200 Duke`s cylinder head actuate four valves by means of cam levers. This design is not only extremely reliable, but the cam levers are coated with ultra-hard carbon which minimises friction - releasing even more power. SILENCER The compact, three-chamber silencer is positioned close to the machine`s overall centre of gravity. This aids centralisation of masses and improves the playful handling of the 200 Duke. Not only noise, but emission levels are also exemplary thanks to the regulated catalytic converter INJECTION The intricate engine design, state-of-the-art injection electronics and the close-ratio, six-speed transmission not only help the 200 Duke to achieve impressive performance, but also moderate fuel consumption.
