year when I found a trail bike was more fitting with my use/age/ability (closing 50). It has been regularly started/quick spin in this time, and as in its whole life, when not used, sat chained in my garage dripping in WD40. I originally thought of just keeping it, but walking around it seems so pointless. Extras – Sump guard, hand guards, clutch saver, fork seal savers, rear bag Comes with – MOT in April, Tax to April. All the original briefcase/contents of manuals/pamphlets etc as in photo – even the original KTM pen! The second mudguard which it came originally with, indicators, spare sprockets (usable) and the swapped out piston – Vertex is original KTM. Oh and obviously the V5. In there as well is a printout of a complete workshop manual. The Bike – I enjoy the maintenance and “fidlling” as much as the riding. I am a mechanical technician by trade and maintenance is done with care and pride. I could waffle on for ages about regreasing kickstarts etc but in summary it has wanted/wanting for nothing. The engine is sweet and very powerful (too feisty for me now). The overall condition/use can be judged by the un-dented original exhaust. friends and a couple of Hare & Hounds. These bikes are brilliant for green laning as the motors torque makes light work of even the most difficult terrain. The bike has been parked up for the past 12 months as i`ve been unable to ride due to injuries and a lack of time so I`ve decided to sell up. I always carry out oil and filter changes after every ride and had the valve clearances checked before the last time I rode it. I also repacked the exhast silencer. The suspension has been reworked by KAIS and I`ve fitted quick release bleeders to the fork tops. I`ve also fitted Seal Skins to protect the fork seals. The bike has grab handles front and rear to help lift it out of ruts etc. I`ve also fitted an after market sticker kit and have a spare brand new seat cover which comes with the bike. It has hand guards and an engine bash guard fitted. I`ll also throw in a set of as new motocross tyres which have been used once, a spare air filter and a jack up bike stand. As the bike has been unused for twelve months it is currently sorn and has no mot. The only bad points are the usual scuffs you`d expect. The electric start is a little tempremental. Probably a loose connection but I hav`nt had the time to check it as the battery is flat. Its also developed a slight oil leak from around the front sprocket. This is a common fault on t X

new Renthals bars, New Grips and KTM Powerparts foldback clutch lever and Clutch Saver, as well as changing the oil and coolant, took it to first race (hence the numbers) and it blew an oil seal in the pits before i even got to the starting line!! I had the bike repaired at Bells of Driffield, which included doing the following-New piston & RingNew small-end bearingNew crank oil sealsRe-pack exhaust waddingAll new gaskets, etc. plus cleaning out of all areas that had had oil in them.Some other things that i cant just remember, but ask me if you require details. All work is shown on the reciept from the shop (all original KTM parts, etc) which is of course there with the bike. This is a fairly common thing to go on a MX bike, so if you think this is a problem please feel free to buy a bike that hasn`t had all this done, because the next thing you know you may be seeing alot of oil through the exhaust!This work cost me a lot of money, which is a shame as since then i have never used the bike once!!! built for the 1 year and from my research is a over bored and stroked 400.My intension was to run it as a super moto or hill climber but I haven`t got the time anymore so I`m selling it.I had it converted to road wheel but will convert it back to offroad wheel for the auction.It has capacity for lights but no battery so my assumption is it is an enduro bikeThe engine and chassis numbers are original and untampered with.I have replaced all the internals including :- piston & rings, exhaust valves, conrod & bigend, main bearings, oil seals, ignition rotor, all the gaskets and oil filters, in fact a full top end rebuild.The gearbox is fine as is the clutch.The manual says it has 11.5-1 compression and as such needs commitment to kick it over.( I use starter rollers)It now runs well with lots of grunt to lift the front wheel, although Ive only had it out once for a quick blast up the local track, about 1/2 a mile if that, so it will need a bit of running in, Looks wise it is a bit tired and scuffed with a split in the seat and there are no clocks.It has never been road registered so there is no v5 or service history. the garage for the odd fun outing and the odd hare n hounds enduro, I had never had a 380 and fancied the notion of something a bit different and a bit bonkers. Well it certainly is bonkers! This is a rare model and seldom come up for sale, when they do they get snapped up by people that always fancied one but didnt have the balls to buy one! Like me...Well, I got the enduro bug again (it never goes away for long) and I am embarking on a full season racing again so I am selling this to help fund a season on my EXC 250. She is road registered (in 2001) and has a brand new MOT done today. She started life as an SX 380 and has been modified to enduro specification by her previous owner, she is fitted with the front end and suspension of an 06 EXC, ie, wheels, forks, rear shock, front brake, front number plate/light, fender tripple clamps and Magura fat bars. A flywheel weight, FMF Gnarly front piep, FMF Powercore silencer have been fitted. The SX has no lighting power generator so she is fitted with a proper lead accumulator bike battery in the conventional KTM position under the seat, this powers the lights, front full and dipped beams, rear light and operational brake light. It also powers the horn. Switch gear on the bars operate the lights, horn and provides the kill switch. Its all done neatly and works perfectly. The batter X

the bike had 1 owner who had owned the bike from new and maintained it to the highest standard. The bike has done 74hours work and covered 1400miles ( that averages at 18mph.) I have used the bike for the ocassional green laning weekend and riding with my mate who`s just got into offroad biking on his wr. I have changed the oil and filters every 2-3 rides to keep her running sweet. The bike has been regurly maintained with no expense spared.
