perhaps a little more revy. Given that the price of XT`s has rcketed recently I cannot see but that Suzuki singles will follow in time. This particular DR is very original it has it`s original headlamp nacelle and clocks, side panels etc., and pehaps more importantly its airbox. The airbox acts as part of the mudguard on this model, many have had it removed and they splatter the engine with muck! I have the original rear light, but the Enduro unit fitted is much neater. The various chain guides and wheels are there too. The bike has obviously been well maintained over it`s life. Grease is apparent on the swinging arm spindle, footrest mounts and the like. The engine does not smoke or make horrible rattling noises. The bike has recently had chain and sprockets, new shock absorbers and new Enduro tyres fitted. It starts easily, not always the case with Suzuki singles! It pulls well and the brakes are surprisingly sharp. There is also a home made chain oiler. Ugly, but very effective. It can simply be unbolted if not required. Now the downside, there always is one. The paint is dull and chipped in places and beginning to rub off the side panels. There is a dent in the left hand side of the tank and the swinging arm could do with a coat of paint. The silencer has been patched but seems solid and works fine.
