at tracks in my local area. The bike was never mint when I bought it but It has always worked well and its still too fast for me on the track. for sale as a project 90% complete. when i bought it i found that it had a badly scored barrel so i have spent out nearly £300 on Having the barrel rebored and new piston and rings and all new oils seals and gaskets. on starting it seems to have an intermittent problem with the throttle not being as responsive as you would like. it wants to rev high then nearly shut off. then it would be fine. i have been advised ity sounds like an air leak somewhere. clutch needs adjusting. it has a brand new chain and spark plug. plastics a little scuffed and dull. It is a single cylinder 249cc four stroke with 6 gears, which makes it far more useable for road riding. It is currently registered in my name and has been since I bought it in August 2010, and is listed as having had 6 former keepers. Although I have no history from before I owned the bike, I do have the current and previous MOT certificate, the V5 registration certificate, and of course it has a valid tax disc. The MOT is valid until 11/08/2012 and the tax lasts until the end of July 2012. It passed the previous MOT with no advisory notices. I also have two keys for the bike. Although I have never taken the bike off road, it certainly has the capability and was designed with this in mind, being lightweight with long travel suspension. I have been using the bike as a commuter and it is supreme at this - economical to run, nippy around town, and a comfortable and commanding view of the road. There were two versions of this bike when it was first produced - the Open Enduro and the Raid. The difference is the Raid has a sensible sized tank (16 litres) and headlight, along with a stiffer steel rear subframe to allow a carrying rack to be fitted to the rear - hence the topbox. These differences made the Raid much more practical - 200+ miles from a tank is easily achievable as the bike runs at approx 70mpg - but it is quite a X | £999.00  | |||||||

The front racing number plate is held on with a tiewrap after I broke the mounting lug off. line problems started to occur.I first had a full engine rebuild about 3-4 months ago it had new; including water pump seal, water pump, gaskets and everything was fully checked.Front forks were leaking but had them refurbished, fitted new bearings and bushings in the rear suspension linkage, the rear shock was faulty so sent it away to re conditioned by `GIBBS suspension` all happened fairly recently.The reason for sale is that i have bought a bike while i was attempting to fix this one but, while it was being used last week end the clutch went i have had a quick tinker around but now do not have the time to look further into it and dew to work commitments and bills to be paid some thing has to go to free up some money. is not shown). Bike has been fitted with a YZ style rear mudguard with a built in back light & brake light. Fully road legal with working lights etc. The bike rides, stops and steers beautifully and the suspension was set up by a professional. There is little frame wear, which is normally associated with these bikes. The wheels are really good with no real marks,scratches etc. The seat cover is immaculate and the plastics are really good as well. It also benefits from recent chain and sprockets This is the 2005 model, equipped with the Yz style silencer as standard. This is very quiet. The bike comes with a FMF Q4 pipe, which in my opinion probably wants repacking as it sounds very loud when fitted(but does seem to improve performance). The bike comes with the original factory fitted mile counter(which is not fitted) and the original speedo drive fitted and the cable as well. If you wanted to fit a speedo, you could just buy a cheap chrome one for less than £25 on ebay and fit the original cable(supplied as above). Not a lot more to say, ecept that it comes with a number of spare filters and the original rear mudguard. I bought it with the view of changing from my TTR, but after riding a couple of times, just think it is slightly too focused for me as I`m no racer! i have it has scared the crap out off me each time this bike is a animal so much power and i not just saying that to make a good selling point it really is quick not for the faint hearted i took this bike to a track and it was smooth and able to deal with any terrain put in front off it i dont want to get rid off it but need something with less power or a four stroke, this bike will give you hours of fun and runs great for its age is in good condition in my eyes these type of bike never look immaculate due to what they are used for unless you spend thousands on one and thousands on maintaining it so if you want a fast bike for field this is for you, if you want bike for practice tracks or full on racing this is the bike for you, and kicks second time when its cold and first time when warm. This bike has never been raced or jumped, only trail ridden, always garaged, The bike runs and shifts without any problems , suspension is soild, brakes are tight, no wheel wobbles or flatspots. No rust, no rips in seat, excellent suspension, fresh top end, new tyres. The only issue the bike has is a crack in the front rim.
