The front racing number plate is held on with a tiewrap after I broke the mounting lug off. There is a large but shallow ding on the left side of the expansion chamber where it loops round, and a small (about 3/8") hole in the seat cover; both have been there for as long as I`ve owned the bike. | The engine is good; starts easily and runs well; clutch drags slightly but not enough to be a problem. line problems started to occur.I first had a full engine rebuild about 3-4 months ago it had new; including water pump seal, water pump, gaskets and everything was fully checked.Front forks were leaking but had them refurbished, fitted new bearings and bushings in the rear suspension linkage, the rear shock was faulty so sent it away to re conditioned by `GIBBS suspension` all happened fairly recently.The reason for sale is that i have bought a bike while i was attempting to fix this one but, while it was being used last week end the clutch went i have had a quick tinker around but now do not have the time to look further into it and dew to work commitments and bills to be paid some thing has to go to free up some money. The bike starts first or second kick from cold and was running great before this problem. It has an FMF gold Series fatty front exhaust. i have it has scared the crap out off me each time this bike is a animal so much power and i not just saying that to make a good selling point it really is quick not for the faint hearted i took this bike to a track and it was smooth and able to deal with any terrain put in front off it i dont want to get rid off it but need something with less power or a four stroke, this bike will give you hours of fun and runs great for its age is in good condition in my eyes these type of bike never look immaculate due to what they are used for unless you spend thousands on one and thousands on maintaining it so if you want a fast bike for field this is for you, if you want bike for practice tracks or full on racing this is the bike for you, and kicks second time when its cold and first time when warm. shaft sits in is broken. this had been sealed off both sides with steel plates and the bike had been used by bump starting it. i dont have the time to change the casting so i am selling it as is. the bike could either be bodged back how it was and used by bump starting it or a secong hand casting used to replace the broken one. theres no shortage of yzf 450 being broke here on ebay. as it it is the bike will start with a bump start and will ride fine. i have removed the inside plate and silicone sealer so oil now leaks out the hole. a tube of silicone and a bit of tin and the bike could be used as is if you wished. me personaly i would want to change the casting.bike can be viewed if required. low start with no reserve. auction will run to the end and will not be ended early. feel free to ask any questions. serious bidders only and cash on collection within 7 days of auction end. use. The first owner raced it for 2 years and the second used it about 5 times in 3 years. I bought it with the intention of racing it but have not got round to it so it might as well go to someone who will use it. The bike has recently had new clutch plates, chain, rear brake pads and graphics kit. The engine has plenty of compression and starts very easily, runs quietly and rips cleanly through the gears. It is a fast bike and feels very tight. The only negatives I know are that the tyres are worn and there is about 5mm of up and down play in the rear suspension, this seems to be mostly the bottom shock bearing. The bike is located on the Isle of Man but I will assist in any way I can with the delivery. TT week is nearly here so there are many vans going to and from the Island. the bike from new. The previous owner bought it new for his wife to accompany him on trails, but as you can see from the pictures that didn`t happen very often at all. I bought the bike in November in pristine condition and its pretty much stayed that way, kept inside, apart from two trips to a local track, the wet winter weather meant I haven`t had much time on it. Unfortunately due to other commitments I won`t be able to ride much this summer so I`v decided to sell it. The condition of the engine is stunning, it runs crisp and sound spot on. I`ll be happy to show you it tick over from cold with one kick.I`v maintained the bike to the standard it has been used to, its been stored inside away from the cold weather. I`v changed the oil three times which was when I got it, and after both track days. It goes without saying that I`v maintained the bike properly, cleaning the air filter, cleaning the bike straight after both outings and carried out minor maintenance such as new brake pads (front and back) and grips.
