the front and a chain/sprocket kit which is grubby but has obviously had very little use.It does start and run but will need attention as although the engine seems good mechanically it does backfire quite a lot which suggests a fuel system overhaul as a first port of call. There is an oil leak from the rocker cover which I`m told is quite common on this model however, I am not a Yamaha man so I couldn`t really say.This will make a nice easy project for someone that doesn`t want too much work. Please bear in mind when bidding that it will need to be collected by van or trailer as it has been unused for three years so a good thorough check over will be needed as an absolute minimum. to Bottom/Big end barring has gone and am not been able to find some one to fix it for me. Although i did assume that it might of been the top end that had gone I replaced the piston, piston rings, barrel, head gasket and base gasket which come to £70 and i have the invoice to prove it. Also needs a few minor things like speedo cable and choke cable as when I purchased the vechile it was already like that. Before problem acquired worked lovely for example lights work, gears are fine, horn works, clutch is good ect. ect. Although the Bottom/Big end barring has gone, it still starts and runs but i wouldn`t suggest riding it as may cause further problem`s so would need picking up. for sale as a project 90% complete. when i bought it i found that it had a badly scored barrel so i have spent out nearly £300 on Having the barrel rebored and new piston and rings and all new oils seals and gaskets. on starting it seems to have an intermittent problem with the throttle not being as responsive as you would like. it wants to rev high then nearly shut off. then it would be fine. i have been advised ity sounds like an air leak somewhere. clutch needs adjusting. it has a brand new chain and spark plug. plastics a little scuffed and dull. It is a single cylinder 249cc four stroke with 6 gears, which makes it far more useable for road riding. It is currently registered in my name and has been since I bought it in August 2010, and is listed as having had 6 former keepers. Although I have no history from before I owned the bike, I do have the current and previous MOT certificate, the V5 registration certificate, and of course it has a valid tax disc. The MOT is valid until 11/08/2012 and the tax lasts until the end of July 2012. It passed the previous MOT with no advisory notices. I also have two keys for the bike. Although I have never taken the bike off road, it certainly has the capability and was designed with this in mind, being lightweight with long travel suspension. I have been using the bike as a commuter and it is supreme at this - economical to run, nippy around town, and a comfortable and commanding view of the road. There were two versions of this bike when it was first produced - the Open Enduro and the Raid. The difference is the Raid has a sensible sized tank (16 litres) and headlight, along with a stiffer steel rear subframe to allow a carrying rack to be fitted to the rear - hence the topbox. These differences made the Raid much more practical - 200+ miles from a tank is easily achievable as the bike runs at approx 70mpg - but it is quite a X | £999.00 | |||||||

keeping with my caravan in the South of France but alas never got round to doing anything with it so I`m listing it for sale as I no longer have the time to do anything with it which is a shame as it would make a lovely bike. Its a non runner, I understand a common failing is the coil pack but I have not investigated further. There is a welded repair to the ignition cover though which needs fettling Its a UK bike as it has a speedometer reading in MPH but this means nothing as you can just change the speedometer! The speedometer reads about 24,000 but I have nothing to verify this! There are no documents with this bike (which was no problem for me as I was going to either Q plate it or register it in France) but there are a set of keys though. I am happy to provide engine and frame numbers if any bidder would like to run a HPI check on it and needless to say a full receipt will be given to the purchaser. I`ve advertised this bike in my local paper and with the motor/motorcycle clubs I belong to and have several people coming to look at it over the next few days so it could be withdrawn. line problems started to occur.I first had a full engine rebuild about 3-4 months ago it had new; including water pump seal, water pump, gaskets and everything was fully checked.Front forks were leaking but had them refurbished, fitted new bearings and bushings in the rear suspension linkage, the rear shock was faulty so sent it away to re conditioned by `GIBBS suspension` all happened fairly recently.The reason for sale is that i have bought a bike while i was attempting to fix this one but, while it was being used last week end the clutch went i have had a quick tinker around but now do not have the time to look further into it and dew to work commitments and bills to be paid some thing has to go to free up some money. The bike starts first or second kick from cold and was running great before this problem. It has an FMF gold Series fatty front exhaust. is not shown). Bike has been fitted with a YZ style rear mudguard with a built in back light & brake light. Fully road legal with working lights etc. The bike rides, stops and steers beautifully and the suspension was set up by a professional. There is little frame wear, which is normally associated with these bikes. The wheels are really good with no real marks,scratches etc. The seat cover is immaculate and the plastics are really good as well. It also benefits from recent chain and sprockets This is the 2005 model, equipped with the Yz style silencer as standard. This is very quiet. The bike comes with a FMF Q4 pipe, which in my opinion probably wants repacking as it sounds very loud when fitted(but does seem to improve performance). The bike comes with the original factory fitted mile counter(which is not fitted) and the original speedo drive fitted and the cable as well. If you wanted to fit a speedo, you could just buy a cheap chrome one for less than £25 on ebay and fit the original cable(supplied as above). Not a lot more to say, ecept that it comes with a number of spare filters and the original rear mudguard. I bought it with the view of changing from my TTR, but after riding a couple of times, just think it is slightly too focused for me as I`m no racer! bike has not been messed around with. This bike is one of a kind in the XT models!!! The only reason for sale is that I have passed my motorcycle restricted licence test with it and I am now planning to buy a 250cc engine bike. The bike has served me very well and I have owned it for just over two years. | Overall the bike rides very well and smooth, and I have recently serviced it with a brand new NGK spark plug, oil change and an air filter. The bike is fully genuine pretty much genuine and original apart from a little gold coloured bits here and there.What you basically see in the pictures is what you are going to get, as the pictures were taken this afternoon. The bike also starts with both electric and a kick start mechanism. | The bike has a full MOT of 12 months as it flew through it on Saturday, so everything on the bike works including bulbs, indicators, horn, brakes etc. And just to mention the fork seals were also done last year. In general the bike does look very nice, but the bike is not brand new as I have used for two years to get to my college and back almost every day which is why the millage is fairly high for a 125cc engine.
